Mosaic of Love

Blessed Easter Day! I am thankful to have the song "Beautiful Things", by Gungor, which we sang at Church; Missio Dei, looping in my head. Some lyrics are: "You make beautiful things, you make beautiful things out of the dust. You make beautiful things, you make beautiful things out of us...You make me new, you are making me new."



I now am able to see that over the past year, God has really been working in my life to transform my heart. He draws us ever closer to experiencing His vision and loving Kingdom more fully. Learning, thanks to some great teachers and friends, that often God allows circumstances to happen to us for our good and for His glory. His heart breaks however when we suffer.
 


We may not see how it is for good in the moment, but it seems important to try to continue to have faith, trusting that God's ways are not our ways, as He tells us. I am encouraged by Paul's words in Ephesians 3:16-19 "I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you with power through His Holy Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the LOVE that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."


It seems at times when our hearts are broken, space is created for God's light to reach in and create a beautiful mosaic, made of shattered hopes, dreams, plans, beliefs, fears, loneliness, truth, joy, life, and love. When we are in one piece, we are beautiful, but when we have to be put back together again, there is a chance for transformation and new compassion.


God truly does make all things new. Missio Dei's motto is: Joining God as He makes all things new. Yes indeedy.
