What To Do?!

What are we each called to do in the face of violence and injustice in our world today? I believe that for each of us that call may differ, but for each and every one of us, the call is similar in the way of being conscious to one another in love. I don't want to be complacent in my response to the suffering in the world and yet, I struggle with the who, what, where, and whens of how to respond. Sometimes such questioning results in asking myself why I didn't take action. I pray that God would give each one of us the strength to search our souls for further and more creative avenues of taking action in response to the brokenness in the world. For courage to believe in our gut feelings about what is right and wrong today. I wish to respond out of a hopeful creativity instead of allowing overriding complicit policies and procedures to decide my actions, which impact others, especially the poor.
